Boats

Remember how the Lord told Noah to build an ark? And He also told Nephi to build a boat. But He also told the Brother of Jared to build a barge. It seems like all of these things have the same function, yet the Lord told them all to do different things. Why?

I believe the answer is because He knows each of us individually, and knows our unique needs. He does not treat us all the same because we are not the same. And He knows that better than anyone because He is our Creator.

Sometimes we can get discouraged because the Lord is asking us to do something very difficult. We may think there are other people who can do and already have done it better. But we must remember that He knows each of us, and what we are capable of.
